Review : Dangerous Women – “A Queen in Exile”

dangerous womenAnother historical story after I thought there had only been one? I love historical fiction, but none of these seemed to have left much of an impression on me.  Looking over it a second time, it appears to be about a women whose brother died and left her as the rightful heir to Sicily.  Which of course thrills her husband.  I didn’t get the impression that she would have been dangerous on her own, but she was dangerous more as a result of circumstances.   The author’s note acknowledges the difference between courageous and dangerous, and gives an instance of her being dangerous.   Perhaps if that event in her life had been the focal point of the story, it might have been more memorable.
